President Director of Garuda Indonesia Pahala N. Mansury said the flight from Mumbai, India to Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia, will also be a hub for other domestic routes, including Yogyakarta, Ujung Pandang, Manado, Labuan Bajo and various domestic tourist destinations which is currently being developed by the government.
“The opening of this new route is also an effort of Garuda Indonesia to support the Ministry of Tourism program to increase the number of tourists to Indonesia, especially Indian tourists,” said Pahala at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
The route will be served twice a week, ie on Monday and Thursday, it uses Airbus A330-200 and is expected to increase foreign tourists visiting from India to Indonesia.
Pahala asserted, Mumbai was chosen because the international airport of Mumbai, namely Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), is one of the airports with the highest traffic rates in India.
