JAKARTA – Indonesian logistics and forwarder association (ALFI) is partnering with PT Indonesia Logistik Community Services (ILCS) – a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II – in operating an online logistics service known as smart port.
The online services are packaged and accessible through the portal www.ilfa.or.id, to facilitate logistics businessmen in transacting their activities related to warehousing, trucking, shipping instruction ordering system, monitoring of vessel movement and goods in ports connected to 130 countries in this world.
The launch of the online logistics service system coincided with the implementation of socialization of a number of government regulations in the field of logistics held by ALFI DKI Jakarta and followed by 700 companies forwarder and logistics, today (18/4/2018).
“We focus on realizing logistics services that are fast and efficient. This system can be used for free by logistics companies at home and abroad because it is integrated with logistics services in a number of countries,” said Chairman of DPP ALFI, Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, Wednesday (18 / 4/2018).
Yukki who also serves as Chairman of the Asean Federation of Forwarders Association (AFFA) is optimistic that this system brings convenience to logistics players.
He said, since several months ago, it also continues to socialize the online service system on various occasions, including abroad.
This effort, he added, to improve the logistics performance index (LPI) RI as well as to encourage ease of business or ease of doing business.
“Hopefully this smart port system can be used by its members which of course will bring ease in the current era of digitilasasi,” he said.
He explained that the development of the connectivity of the smart port system will provide access to more than 53 ocean ocean voyages, up to date with unlimited ship arrivals and departures from 130 countries, and connect with Japan, USA and Canada manifest, track and trace container.
“In addition, users can book the destination ship slot along with the filing of shipping documents,” he said.
