JAKARTA – The plan to build a cargo village or cargo village at Soekarno Hatta Airport is expected to double the cargo capacity will be completed this year’s draft.
Yado Yarismano, Vice President of Corporate Communications of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) II, said the location located at the former gas station will be made of cargo aircraft (apron) cargo waiting for the planning is completed.

The transfer of cargo warehouses is done because the area will be converted into terminal 4. The process of displacement, added Yado, will be done in a concurrent cargo village concurrently completed.
It is estimated that the cargo village can accommodate up to 1.5 million tons of goods per year or doubled from now that as much as 700,000 tons a year.
The cargo village has an area of 90 hectares which AP II has already built apron of 1.8 hectares. This apron will connect directly to the line of one cargo warehouse.
