JAKARTA – PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero) is optimistic that the development project of Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai in Bali can be completed in September 2018.
Corporate Secretary of AP I, Israwadi said the development of airplane extension (apron) of West and East only reached 7%. This is because the preparatory work process that had been backed up and waiting for permission of the recommendation of the Governor of Bali.
“We remain optimistic because the target is also still long before August or September can be completed,” said Israwadi, Tuesday (3/4/2018).
He added that the company has spent up to Rp2.1 trillion for the entire airport development project.
It said the increase in the capacity of Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai done through the expansion of apron, so the capacity increased to 64 parking booth from the previous condition as much as 53 parking booth.
In addition, the addition of two rapid exit taxiway to a total of four rapid exit taxiway. Improvements were also made to the international check-in booth which will be expanded and expanded from 96 units of 2,470 square meters to 126 units with an area of 4,420 square meters.
Airport development is being done in preparation for hosting the IMF – World Bank Annual Meeting on October 8-14, 2018 in Bali. Predicted delegation guests who come to reach 18,000 people.
