JAKARTA – The Ministry of Transportation implements an online-based vessel service or Inaportnet in three ports. By the end of 2017, six other ports will implement similar services.

Port of Banjarmasin (South Kalimantan), Panjang (Lampung), and Balikpapan (East Kalimantan). Bay said the implementation aims to improve the service of ships in the port in order to run fast, reliable, transparent, and standardized and minimal cost.
“By doing so can improve the competitiveness of ports in Indonesia,” said Bay in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/09/2017).
According to Bay, Kemenhub is targeting the implementation of Inaportnet in 16 ports by the end of 2017. Currently there are ten ports implementing Inaportnet so that there are six ports remaining that have not yet implemented Inaportnet.
Bay said, the port that will follow the implementation of Inaportnet Port of Sorong, Palembang, Bayur Bay, Banten, Pontianak, and Gresik.
To note, Inaportnet combines several services such as Sea Traffic and Transportation Information System (SIMLALA), Online Ship System, Seafar Certification Application, Port System Information, and System at Port Enterprise (BUP).
