Contract Municipal Worker in Denpasar Caught Extorting Payments from Spas

RadarBali reports that a contract worker employed by the Denpasar Municipal Enforcement Agency, Bagus Made Putra Perdana (also known as Gustra), (27) has been arrested for extorting illegal payments from spas operating in the capital city.
Police arrested Perdana on Friday, January 5, 2018 when he was reportedly extorting a payment form the Spa Scarlet on North Denpasar. According to police, the man had been operating during all of 2017 collecting illegal levies from 12 spas totalling an estimated Rp. 35 million.
Police investigations continue.
