JAKARTA – Australian airlines, Qantas announced the commencement of service route daily Melbourne – Denpasar (Bali).
Qantas’s latest route, which uses the Boeing 737-800 fleet, comes with an increase in flight frequency from Melbourne to Denpasar owned by its subsidiary Jetstar from 10 times a week to twice a day.
This reflects the high demand from customers who want a full-service travel experience to the Island of God as one of the most popular holiday destinations for the Australian community. This daily route has been in operation since June 23, 2018.
Together with Jetstar, Qantas Group now offers 84 round-trip services to Bali from across Australia. This makes Qantas Group the largest international airline group operating on the island of Bali.
Qantas International CEO Alison Webster said it has the flexibility in its network to respond to demand growth in the identified region, including Bali.
“We see Bali, Indonesia as a very popular holiday destination and can answer various budgets and different tastes. By increasing the frequency of services between the two countries, we are able to offer an increasingly diverse choice to our customers, “Webster said in a written statement on Tuesday (26/6).
According to him, in the last five years, the number of Australian tourists traveling to Bali has more than doubled. Last year, Qantas and Jetstar had flown 1.6 million subscribers on the route.
