JAKARTA – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) signed a collaboration memo with four partners in the establishment of Bonded Logistics Center or PLB in Makassar. The presence of PLB is expected to accelerate the flow of goods from upstream to downstream.
Five companies in partnership with Pelindo IV consist of PT Angkasa Pura Logistik, PT Kawasan Industri Makassar, PT Sumisho Global Logistics Indonesia, PT SITC Indonesia and PT Ampat Yasa Intermoda. The cooperation memo was signed today, Tuesday (23/1/2018) in Jakarta.
President Director of Pelindo IV, Doso Agung, said that in addition to PLB, five partners in cooperation with the company will also build Container Freight Station and Depo Container. Collaborating partners consist of 2 state-owned enterprises (BUMN), 1 subsidiary, 1 national private company, and 2 foreign companies.
“This collaboration is the first time conducted in Eastern Indonesia (KTI),” he said in a press release received Bisnis.com, Tuesday (23/1/2018).
Director of Port Facility and Equipment PT Pelindo IV, Farid Padang said PLB will operate for 24 hours. Furthermore, the partners will also invite investors in KTI to support the presence of PLB. “Hopefully, with the PLB will accelerate the flow of goods because from upstream to downstream will connect all,” said Farid.
