General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Yanus Suprayogi said some of the eastern airports are under the management of Angkasa Pura I. Only Banyuwangi Airport managed by Angkasa Pura II.
As for some airports that will be utilized for small plane parking are:
- Juanda Airport Surabaya with 5 parking stand
- Makassar Ujung Pandang Airport with 5 parking stand
- Banyuwangi Airport 2 parking stand
- Lombok Airport with 2 parking booths
Small planes going to Bali will stop at Terminal Gate in a short time, then directed to the nearest airport for aircraft parking.
“The IMF pegelaran certainly can not all the aircraft here, for example there are 100 planes of course can not,” he said, Saturday (24/2/2018).
He admitted that there are currently 70 flight time slots that want to enter Ngurah Rai Airport, but it can not serve the demand because of the lack of parking apron.
In fact, the runway to the terminal owned by Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai sufficient to connect the request slot.
Currently, Ngurah Rai Airport can only serve 25 flight time slots due to apron limitations. The expansion of the apron by adding up to 10 parking booths and runways to 3,400 meters is currently expected to receive up to 70 flight time slots.
