JAKARTA – Garuda Indonesia will increase the frequency of flights from Jakarta to Perth, Australia, to five times per week starting May 4, 2018.
Director of Garuda Indonesia Cargo Sigit Muhartono, who also oversees the development of Garuda Indonesia international route, said the increase in flight frequency as a form of support for the improvement of Indonesia’s tourism industry.
Thus, Australian tourists from Perth are getting easier to fly to Jakarta and then to other parts of Indonesia through the certainty of seat availability.
“Australia is one of the growing and potential markets for Garuda. The proximity of Indonesia and Australia, especially Perth, makes many users of both countries visit Indonesia for business, tourism, education, or health, “he said in a press release on Friday (2/2/2018).
The additional frequency of the Jakarta – Perth flight is operated every Friday with departure from Jakarta at 10.25am and arrives in Perth at 4pm, then departs from Perth at 17:40 local time and arrives in Jakarta at 21:35 pm.
Garuda Indonesia currently has 35 flights from Indonesia to Australia covering Jakarta – Melbourne pp (4x week), Jakarta – Sydney (5x), Jakarta – Perth (4x), Denpasar – Perth (7x), Denpasar – Sydney (7 x), and Denpasar – Melbourne vv (8 x a week).
