JAKARTA – PT Garuda Indonesia through its subsidiary Garuda Indonesia Cargo will improve the delivery service to customers.
Cargo Director of Garuda Indonesia Cargo, Sigit Muhartono, said the company will improve its services by not delivering port-to-port or airport shipment to the airport.
“This is expected to be closer to the customer,” he said when describing the results of the company’s red plate performance in Jakarta on Monday (26/2/2018).
Companies with GIAA issuers have also strengthened cooperation with the delivery of third-party courier services such as Go-jek and Grab.
The cooperation is expected to improve services in addition to its own inter-service called Go Express.
In 2017 GIAA transported 446,800 tons of cargo transport. This number increased by 7.4% compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, revenue from the goods shipment increased by 8.2% to US $ 237.1 million in 2017.
