“We know that we will increase this Bali unmitigatedly, which currently has a capacity of only around 35 – 37 million passengers per year, in the future we will expand it to reach 50 million passenger capacity,” he said,
Besides functioning for tourism, the Super Hub Bali is also projected as an international cargo and passenger transhipment airport with Soekarno Hatta Airport (Cargo Village).
Ngurah Rai Airport is the Most Ready
It can be seen that with the very high level of attention from the international community, Bali Ngurah Rai Airport is one of the airports that is most ready as a super hub.
“In the future, Bali Baru (North Bali) will be built as an airport that serves tourism areas or tourist areas in Bali and its surroundings,” he said.
This is in line with President Joko Widodo’s direction to develop air transportation to support the economy of a more developed region in the future.
