UBUD: Experience a traditional Dayak dance and learn about the plight of indigenous communities across Indonesia

Bali’s 1st Indigenous Film Festival Opening Dance

This film festival is all about highlighting struggles that indigenous people face in Indonesia and around the world. Opening it up will be a special traditional Dayak Dance, along with opening remarks by photographer David Metcalf and Een from the Indonesian Film Society. There are a variety of ticket options on offer for the festival, but if you’re particularly interested in the opening dance you can spend IDR200k (US$15) for the performance with the inclusion of two films. Profits will go back to supporting young people in their struggle to tell their stories in a number of communities across Indonesia.
